First UK edition and printing, and the second printing overall. The book was printed for the Egoist press by John Rodker in Paris in October 1922, using the Shakespeare and Company printing blocks. The print run was 2000 but (as later impressions published by Shakespeare and Company recorded) 500 of these were seized and destroyed by the US Post Office Authorities.
