Sir Peter Robert Jackson ONZ KNZM (born 31 October 1961)
A New Zealand filmmaker and screenwriter.
He is best known as the director, writer and producer of The Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001–03) and The Hobbit trilogy (2012–14),
both of which are adapted from the novels of the same name by J. R. R. Tolkien.
Jackson has been awarded three Academy Awards in his career, including the award for Best Director in 2003.
He has also received a Golden Globe, four Saturn Awards and three BAFTAs amongst others.

Ralph Bakshi (born October 29, 1938)
An American director of animated and live-action films.
In the 1970s, he established an alternative to mainstream animation through independent and adult-oriented productions.
Between 1972 and 1992, he directed nine theatrically released feature films (including Lord of the Rings, Part 1 in 1978), five of which he wrote.
He has been involved in numerous television projects as director, writer, producer and animator.

There is a numbered certificate of authenticity and map of Middle-earth included in the package. These art prints were reproduced from the original digital master. The number of sets issued in this Set 1 edition has been in dispute. The vellum map and note that shows through the circle in the cardstock cover states the edition as being 500.
